Projects

From community concern to coordinated action.

Our projects are designed around clearly defined community priorities, practical activities, coordination and learning.

How the project is structured

The project is intended to begin with community entry, technical coordination, baseline assessment and mapping of relevant services. Implementation then links health support with practical WASH and livelihood activities, followed by monitoring and learning.

Health and referral

Identify people who may need assessment or care and strengthen pathways to appropriate health services.

Self-care and dignity

Support appropriate self-care education and reduce stigma around chronic swelling and related disability.

WASH and environment

Address relevant hygiene, sanitation and environmental vulnerabilities identified through assessment.

Livelihood resilience

Connect affected and vulnerable households with appropriate agriculture and livelihood opportunities where feasible.

Technical caution

The website uses “chronic lymphedema / elephantiasis-like illness” as a clinical description and does not establish a specific underlying cause. Disease-specific interventions should be coordinated with the appropriate district and national technical authorities.

Future expansion

This structure is intentionally ready for additional project pages, photographs, reports, results and verified partner information as KIDO Uganda provides them.
